Cambodia - Day 1 (18.12.2014)

Cambodia Trip
Cambodia officially know as the Kingdom of Cambodia and it's official region is Theravada Buddhism which practiced by most of the population.

First day - 18.12.2014
My holiday starts and I was so excited as able to visit the great complexes of ancient temple in Southeast Asia.

The air ticket quite expensive as we bought it last minute.

When touched down, we need to walk a short distance outdoor from the plane to the terminal building. The airport quite clean and well maintained.

The view on the way to our Hotel.

November until March is the peak season  to visit as it's dry and windy season while December is the peak of the peak season at Angkor.

Tara Angkor Hotel
is located in convenient proximity to both Angkor Temples and Siem Ream city.  Our booking included free airport pickup which was in an air conditioned van, free airport drop off, and free one hour body massage.

The welcome drink of cold lemongrass tea was very refreshing.

Tara Spa where we had our aroma massage.

We went to Siem Reap Craft Workshop which operate by Artisans Angkor after our massage. Artisans Angkor is a Cambodia company which was created at the end of 1990's to help young rural people find work near their home village.

It is necessary to have Angkor Pass to visit the temple at the summit of Wat Knang Phnom Krom as the guards won't allow you to access to the summit of without the pass.

Coffee Journey @ Island Plaza

Coffee Journey @ Island Plaza

Coffee Journey located at the ground floor of Island Plaza, next to Coffee Bean.
It is facing the bustling road of Jalan Tanjung Tokong, Coffee Journey can be spotted easily from far; the modish and laid-back ambiance makes the cafe a very suitable place to spend an afternoon reading books or just watching the world goes by.

When you push in the door and you will be greeted by the rich aroma of the brewed coffee. Prices are reasonable and relatively cheaper as compared to those chain cafes in town.

We ordered Choco Melow, Cj Magic and Rose Latte.

Choco Melow, CJ Magic and Rose Latte

Choco Melow is for those who don't drink coffee. The combination for chocolate and marshmallows is good as it won't be too sweet. It's suitable for those who don't like sweet chocolate drink.

CJ Magic is a double shot latte that gives you the extra kick to stay awake. Definitely a good try if you’re much immune to the regular latte. The rich aroma from the coffee draws you in for a good first sip, the good ratio of espresso and mild tempered milk will keep you coming back for more.

Rose latte is pretty good.Fall in love with the rose latte as the smell of the Rose not that strong.

Personally I love the place so much due to the comfy environment and the soft relaxing music.

Tatsu Jin Japanese Restaurant

Tatsu Jin Japanese Restaurant

Tatsujin (้”ไบบ) is a Japanese concept representing a fully self actualized human being, or a complete person. It is a higher state of  consciousness, that is uninhibited by the weaknesses in our personality that make us inherently human. It is a mind that is free from the desires of the ego, and able to see life through the “Eyes and Mind of God” as Takamatsu Sensei once mentioned.

Tatsu Jin is located at Kampung Jawa which near Petronas.

The interior decoration leaves much room to be desired. The atmosphere is a bit gloomy and dull as a result of dark colors of walls.

We ordered Katsu Kare set and Salmon Teriyaki Don.

Katsu Kare Set - RM 17 (exclude Service Charge)

Salmon Teriyaki Don - RM 17 (exclude Service Charge)

Tatsu Jin has some merits in terms of food quality. Besides, the staffs are quite attentive and make frequent rounds,so refills are not cumbersome at all.
